White as Snow Window

Sunday, November 28, 2010

For this window we wanted something different. We didn't just want to throw a few expected Christmas trees and some cute bows And we didn't want to use the over used Jesus is the reason of the season saying. We wanted something that spoke to the heart. We brainstormed many different things but snow kept coming back to us and the vision began to flow. Isaiah 1:18 says: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. This is the verse that started to inspire us, it's such a gorgeous verse!
You know when you go out side and it's snowing and everything is quite and covered with a perfect blanket of snow. This is the feel we wanted for this window. We wanted this window to represent peace and comfort.
There is white everywhere you see except for touches of red cardinals and red berries.
There are around 2000 snow flakes cut out of coffee filters and cupcake wrappers.
Over a 1000 cotton balls strung with fish line.

Here's is the front window. We used the trees from our last window glass ceilings. http://www.creativelittlehouse.com/2010/09/glass-cielings.html The leaves magically fell off the tree and snow appeared on the branches.....its a Christmas miracle!! Actually we used shaving cream and liquid starch for the snow. It worked really well and look natural.
After sitting down and looking for a song or saying that would go with the window....I decided to go with one of my favorites..... Revelation Song: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty who was and is and is to come. We wanted the these powerful words to be the main focus and for the winter scene to just flow in the back ground.
who WAS Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
and IS Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
and is to COME Revelation 1:14, 17 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
This verse is so powerful and gives me goose bumps of excitement to see Jesus one day!! He's given us so much and the best is yet to come!
