A Buffet of Before and Afters

My home is my canvas and I'm constantly changing it.  When I first started this blog my goal and was to share with people all the changes I make with in my home. I especially wanted to share these changes with  sister who I lived 3hrs away from. But now I live about 3 seconds from her home but I still enjoy recording all my changes.

Buffets are so fun because they can change with in the seasons.  This is my find on the side of the road dresser that I used as a buffet.  I knew I wanted something bigger there....so I moved her....

to the other corner of the living room....she's good there for now we'll see if she moves again....
Then my grandma gave me this buffet....she fit well in that space....
 compared to the dresser
I decided to frost her with some white paint and paint the front door a black/brown color....
Here is a picture of her almost painted.....everything is almost or 1/2 way done with kiddos!:)
then for Christmas I got it done! She had to be white for Christmas!
Then after the New Year I wanted to change it up again.  I got sick of the wreath and replaced it with a chalk board and our Gates sign.  Picked up some fallen twigs in our yard and got rid of the other lamp....was a little too formal looking to me.
The chalk board is fun...I love sayings and it will be fun to put new ones up....
I made some plaid pillows out of my old window treatments.  I'm always figuring out a way to make something new out of something I already have.  I go to all this trouble to make my Katie girls couch pretty!  FYI I haven't finished the other pillow, the material is just thrown over it, another 1/2 done project...it's how I roll right now!
Here's my U and I sugar sack....I plan to make a pillow out of it too.
It should look like this Pioneer Hybrid pillow I made my dad for Christmas....he worked there for years.:)
so the changes will continue I'm sure just like these branches change from season to season.
and speaking of change look at these babies....

Have a great weekend...hope your enjoying this winter season!
Love, Julie
